“Quick…Tell Him He’ll Never Win The Champions League” – Villa Star Has Last Laugh As He Makes Premier League Bow

|

Aston Villa midfielder Conor Hourihane is a figure who splits the fanbase at times at the club and whilst he’s incredibly steady on a statistics front, some see a different game to others and question what he offers when you remove his goals and assists from the equation.

On Saturday, the 28-year-old Republic of Ireland international made his Premier League debut as we took to the pitch against Tottenham Hotspur, and he was very impressive for large parts of the game until he was replaced inside of the final ten minutes by summer arrival Douglas Luiz.

Many have already argued that his substitution was an error in the game, but it seems Hourihane has a bit of a devilish streak and as he celebrated his top flight bow, he clearly has a long memory and made a reference to his time at Plymouth Argyle back in 2014, where rather ironically, a Villa fan made a comment about his ambitions.

What’s that about those who laugh last?

My thoughts are summed up with this one though.
